Stone soup is not just a farm, but there are real people here who do the farming! Most of the people who make this happen live on site, across the street in the old Jepson House. It is important that the farm is not just a community of customers, but also a community of farmers.
Jarrett Man
Jarrett is the owner and manager of Stone Soup Farm. Coming from Red Fire Farm in Granby, he created Stone Soup as a way to create a healthy community based on farming (or is it healthy farming based on community?). Now that the farm is up and running, he tries not to get in the way too much.
Dan Fokine
Dan is a rugged man, he likes wilderness, the outdoors, waterfalls, porridge, high top camo boots, digging ditches, and being rugged. He also happens to be the assistant manager of the farm.
He hails from the rugged terrain of the Jamaica Plain.
Annie Sullivan-Chin
Annie joins us as a recent graduate from Mt. Holyoke College in May. She works in the field and will also be running the farm stand. And yes, she really is this charming
Honey bee Puder and John Kane
These two join us from afar; John was a member of a traveling circus and Honey was in a cave trying to recall her ancestral memories. They will, unfortunately, be joining us for the summer.
Bri Morin
Bri has moved out here from Boston, she is working part time at the farm this summer, helping out and serving as our lunch lady extrodinaire.
